FlowServe Retrofit

We recently supplied a number of new upgraded trims to retrofit into Flowserve Channel Stream Valves at a US Power Plant. The original Flowserve trims were experiencing severe erosion within 1 years operation. The applications were feedwater and Min Flow Recirc.

The Engineering team evaluated the actual process conditions and based on the severe application worked out that the existing 6 stage pressure reduction in the Channel Stream valves was insufficient for the applications and required a minimum of 14 & 16 stages. CPC sent an Engineer to site who took detailed measurements of the existing trims and internal of the bodies.

From these measurements the engineering team in Austria designed a complete new trim using our MILA multi path pressure reduction Disk Stack technology. The complete valve trims and soft goods were supplied in perfect time to meet the customers planned intervention to retrofit the new trims.

The replacement of 4 trims was completed within one day as the engineered parts fitted into the valves perfectly without any modifications or changes required at site. The customer commented on how impressed they were that these retrofits were completed so easily. Also the customer was very pleased on the quality of the parts and how advanced they looked compared to other severe service trims they had seen.
